David Weinstein, CCIM

Charter Land Company, Broker


David Weinstein is the broker of Charter Land Company. A veteran in the commercial real estate industry with over 30 years experience, his specialty is in land, investment properties and development opportunities. He began his career in Denver, Colorado where he was land acquisition director for Michael Blumenthal Enterprises, a local homebuilder and apartment developer. His responsibilities included the acquisition, entitlement and disposition of over 1,000 residential units in the Denver metropolitan area including several master planned communities with accompanying sites for retail and commercial development. He started Weinstein & Associates, a commercial real estate firm, in 1983. Weinstein & Associates provided services to some of the area's leading companies, including Mellon Bank , United Bank of Colorado, Capitol Federal Savings and Loan, US Homes, and Ryland Homes. He moved to Southern California in 1989 where he was land acquisition director for The Anden Group, a national homebuilding company. In 1993 David Founded Charter Land Company and is its broker. He has worked in all six Southern California counties, and has hands-on experience with residential and multifamily projects, urban infill developments, adaptive reuse projects, mixed–use residential/retail properties, conservancy and mitigation land, low income tax credit housing projects, transit oriented developments, and path of growth properties.


David is a graduate of the University of Colorado and holds a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation from CCIM Institute. He is also a graduate of University of California, Irvine's Light Construction, Development and Management program, and its Land Use and Environmental Planning program.
